St Joseph's Māori Girls' College, Napier, was founded by the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions in 1867, making it one of the oldest girls' high schools in the Southern Hemisphere and probably the oldest for Māori.
After the 1931 earthquake it was rebuilt on the current site at Greenmeadows, opening there in 1935.
