March. A young women from NZ was killed in a suicide attack on a hotel in Cabul. 8 other guests and 4 attackers were also killed. The hotel had strictest security because it had been attacked before.
Cricket: World T20 Championship in Bangladesh. Men's team beat Poms in rain-affected match which led Stuart Broad of the Poms to whinge about a danger from lightning. Women's team beat Australia 128-121. However NZ was unsuccesful in reaching the semi-finals in both competitions.
APRIL Prince William and his wife visit NZ with their 8-month baby who excited great attention altho he likes remarkably like many other 8-month babies.
