Waikato (flowing water) is a main region in the northern North Island. It stretches from the Coromandel Peninsula to the northern part of the King Country. It's the home of the Waikato River, the longest river in New Zealand, and The Maori King Movement, Tuheitia Paki being the current king.
It is well known for its farming and dairy industry. Being the fourth most economically successful region in the country.
